The 4th International Private/Public Hospitals Congress and Exhibition (IPH2025), held from September 3 to 5, 2025 (Wednesday to Friday), at the IRIB Conference Center in Tehran, showcased the remarkable progress being made in the global healthcare sector. Tehran, recently chosen as the Capital of Health Tourism in Islamic Countries, provided the perfect setting for this significant event. This distinction highlights Tehran’s growing role in the health tourism industry, attracting international attention and positioning it as a hub for advanced medical services. Among the many distinguished participants, Noor Shahriar Hospital stood out, garnering attention both domestically and internationally.

A major highlight of the conference was a video featuring the hospital’s CEO, Dr. Karbasforoushan, delivering a speech subtitled in English for the international audience. Dr. Karbasforoushan’s speech highlighted the hospital’s strategic vision to expand its services beyond local borders to attract international patients, particularly in the rapidly growing field of health tourism. His message resonated deeply with the audience: “Two enduring characteristics of Iranian culture have always been hospitality and compassion for those in pain. Health tourism embodies both.” He further outlined the hospital’s long-term growth strategy, emphasizing global collaboration with healthcare professionals and partners to ensure the highest standard of care.

Following Dr. Karbasforoushan’s speech, Mr. Bakhtizadeh gave a compelling introduction, providing an overview of Noor Shahriar Hospital. In his speech, Mr. Bakhtizadeh emphasized Noor Shahriar Hospital’s role as one of Iran’s leading private healthcare institutions. He outlined the hospital’s remarkable journey, which began eight years ago as a specialized and subspecialized medical center. Today, Noor Shahriar Hospital boasts 200 permanent beds and 100 additional non-permanent beds, with a strong focus on surgery, cardiology, and cancer treatment. The hospital continues to evolve, incorporating the latest global technologies to provide exceptional care.

The presence of prominent figures such as Dr. Raeiszadeh, President of the Medical Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRIMC), added further weight to the occasion. Another notable attendee was Mr. Mohseni Bandpei, the Deputy for Tourism at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Iran. Mr. Mohseni Bandpei emphasized the necessity of a comprehensive approach to health tourism as a key driver of economic and cultural development. He stated, “Health tourism can reduce the financial burden on the healthcare system.” His comments underscored the significant potential of health tourism to not only bring in international patients but also support the sustainability of local healthcare infrastructure.

The Noor Shahriar Hospital segment attracted considerable attention from both Iranian and international guests, many of whom were impressed by the hospital’s comprehensive services and modern facilities.

This event also marked a significant milestone as Mr. Bakhtizadeh received the prestigious Special Award on behalf of Noor Shahriar Hospital in recognition of its outstanding contributions to the healthcare sector.

The hospital’s participation at IPH2025 was further strengthened by visits from international representatives from countries such as India, Oman, Thailand, Turkey, and Bangladesh. These visitors were particularly interested in Noor Hospital’s cutting-edge facilities, with the hospital tour exceeding expectations. Led by the hospital’s management team, discussions focused on potential collaborations aimed at expanding health tourism and enhancing the hospital’s global presence.
