The 4th International Private/Public Hospitals Congress and Exhibition (IPH2025), held from September 3 to 5, 2025 (Wednesday to Friday), at the IRIB Conference Center in Tehran, showcased the remarkable progress being made in the global healthcare sector. Tehran, recently chosen as the Capital of Health Tourism in Islamic Countries, provided the perfect setting for this significant event. This distinction highlights Tehran’s growing role in the health tourism industry, attracting international attention and positioning it as a hub for advanced medical services. A major highlight of the conference was a video featuring the hospital’s CEO, Dr. Karbasforoushan, delivering a speech subtitled in English for the international audience. Dr. Karbasforoushan’s speech highlighted the hospital’s strategic vision to expand its services beyond local borders to attract international patients, particularly in the rapidly growing field of health tourism. Another notable attendee was Mr. Mohseni Bandpei, the Deputy for Tourism at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Iran. He stated, “Health tourism can reduce the financial burden on the healthcare system.” His comments underscored the significant potential of health tourism to not only bring in international patients but also support the sustainability of local healthcare infrastructure.
