How is the operation of kidney stones in the ureter performed?
With the help of a device called ureteroscope, the surgeon enters the bladder and then the ureter through the urethra, and after seeing the ureter stone, he crushes the stone with the help of a special tool. In this case, depending on the opinion of the surgeon, a tube may be placed inside the ureter, which is fixed by a bladder catheter.

What happens after TUL operation?
◾ In most cases, the patient’s ureteral stone is completely removed and the patient can be discharged on the same day after the anesthesia is removed.

◾ In cases where there is a need to insert a ureteral tube, be sure to see a doctor after four weeks to remove it.

Oral antibiotics and painkillers are usually prescribed for a few days. The patient is advised to drink a lot of fluids.

◾ Also, the patient should work to help excrete small stones and make sure to urinate in a container so that in case of excreting stones, they can be obtained for testing.
